summer night routine + skincare 2020
[Inaudible]. Hey guys, it’s Marissa in today’s video. I’m going to be sharing with you guys my summer nighttime routine, just to preface this video. This is a summer night, and then I’m not getting home late.
This is not a night where I’m hanging out with friends. It’s just a night where I’m at home, kind of doing all the stuff that I would ideally do, stuff that I do to get ready for the next day. So with that in mind, we’re going to get started today is Saturday night.
So usually you just prepare it for the following week tomorrow, Sunday, I’m going to go take a shower. What I’ll normally do is I’ll take my pajamas into the bathroom and then I’ll just change right after the shower.
And then like brush my teeth, do all that. Yeah. Okay. Everyone. Um, I just got out of the shower and my pajamas still bright outside. It gets darker like nine 30. So I got a little bit, I think a lot of you guys are curious about my skincare routine and um, it starts in the shower fun fact.
I actually had my very first dermatologist appointment, um, a few weeks ago. And so I got this whole new skincare tune that I’ve been doing for the past few weeks and I got prescribed all this new stuff.
So it’s actually starts in the shower. I use this like soulful cleanse that I got prescribed and I don’t know. I used to use a whole lot of different face washes. I don’t have really good skin, but it’s not like really bad skin.
How like in the middle, like it’s not super clear, but it’s not like so bad, but I did use my soulful cleanse in the shower. That’s what I use every day to just wash my face. And then the moisturizer I use is, um, this stuff.
I have no idea, uh, clindamycin. I use that twice a day and then I’m actually prescribed this like antibacterial pill called Mino cycling, minocycline. And I take it twice a day. Um, it’s like not, it’s not Accutane more or lesser version of it.
So I take it with a full glass of water and I do it twice a day, one at morning and one at night. The last step I use is this trip to know one spot treatment cream. Yeah. I just bought that anywhere. I need it.
It is oozing today. I’ve been doing this for a few weeks. I think it’s helping. I don’t quite know. It’s not like helping my skin tremendously, but it’s not making it worse. So I don’t know. We’re just going to stick it out for another couple months and see if it makes a bigger difference.
I just know that a lot of you guys were curious on my skincare routine. I’ve had questions about that for a long time, but my skin, I didn’t really need to do anything to it up until like sophomore year, I would say.
Okay. And once I have all of my skin stuff on, I will just take some Vaseline. I’ve had this before. I do not even know why I probably before even high school, I’ll just use that as chopstick actually almost out, which is really weird.
Now I have to get a new one. That’ll last me a few more years. Yeah. Good stuff. Okay. That is it for like my skin. I just thought the mess soaking throughout the whole night and then pretty much the same in the morning.
I’ll just do my moisturizer. I don’t eat. I’ll just like rinse water over my face and then just use moisturizer and take my pills. So that is it. Okay. Next I’m going to just brush my hair. It’s bad. And I’ll just use this leave and treatment for my hair.
Nice and healthy. Okay. Now I am all a clean. Yay. Okay. Sorry to interrupt the vid. The sunset is so crazy. You guys just have to show you guys because I like to take time at sunset just to take it in because there’s one every night and every night is different and it’s so pretty.
Yeah. Like guys, are you kidding me? Like wow. Fun facts about Marissa. I love the stars, the sunset and the rain. I just love those three naturally occurring things so much. So yeah, something that I love to do at least weekly, this isn’t every night.
Um, I love to journal. Um, I think a lot of you know, that I love journaling and I just love to document my life things that are going on memories. I want to have more detail of or just things I want to remember.
Special days. Maybe I actually have his journal and I’m almost done with it. So I need to get a new one. If you guys have any journal recommendations, definitely count them down below. If you like have a system or ways you like journaling.
Anyway, I’m going to go ahead and do this for as long as I want to. Sometimes it’ll take like 20 minutes sometimes an hour. Like I dunno. It just depends on how much I need to catch it up on or how much I feel like doing it.
So yeah. I’m going to go ahead and do that. Okay. I just finished journaling. I probably did it for like 30 minutes. Something my family loves to do in the summer is watch really movies. And um, yeah, I’m going to go watch it with them.
I don’t know what they’re want. Let’s go find it. Well, maybe that my family decided to watch tonight was what a girl wants. And I decided to have a little pasta salad as my snack for the movie. I do it.
However, when I am craving a healthy snack, like pasta salad, which is so, so good with the olive garden dressing. Okay. Okay. It is around 1115 now and the movie is done. It’s a pretty good movie. Yeah.
What? I’m getting air forces for Zoe. So I wanted to get something. Okay. Now I’m going to brush my teeth. [inaudible] okay. Goodnight. Goodnight. Goodnight. Easy. Get in there. I hate, you know, like when you, like, what is she doing? Easy.

We’re going to go try and scary. I do this every day. Oh, that’s amazing. Not in the middle floor. I think Ella was right. Oh my gosh. That was a fail. Brook and i are just not quite tired. So can you stand on my back? Like very lightly? Not on my neck.
Just like. Step on your neck stand up. Yeah. I don’t know if that felt good or not good at a different spot. Okay. Your turn. Okay. Happy Sunday tomorrow guys. Um, I’m going to call it a night. It is now 1130 and I’m going to go to bed something I do every night before I go to bed, I turn on my ceiling fan.
I love sleeping in a cold room and then the air purifier that just has some white noise. And then usually I’ll have stuff written right here for the next day for just kind of like a mental note of what I need to do the next day.
But since tomorrow, Sunday, it’s just kind of a chill day. You don’t really do much. Um, that’s sometimes I’ll do that during the week. I’ll just read it and then cross it off throughout the day or erase it.
