(energetic music) (gentle music) – Good morning guys, I have an errand to run today. I’m gonna drop off some stuff to the LGBTQ Wellness Center and then do some emails. So I have to do that today. Lots of emails and have to edit.
Let’s do it. (blinds clanking) All right. I haven’t really done a morning skincare routine in a while, so I’m gonna show you what I currently do enjoy using. Oddly enough I’ve been using chemical exfoliants in the daytime.
I don’t use a lot, I just use a little bit and I find it keeps my acne at bay and also my white heads. I follow up with a really good sunscreen. So I have two that I really like right now. This is the Murad Resurgence Multi-Acid Peel.
This one’s a little bit pricey but it feels so nice on the skin. And it contains a blend of chemical exfoliants. This one is a 2% BHA Paula’s Choice which I really, really enjoy so, you can use either.
I’m gonna use the Paula’s choice one today. And BHA is gonna help control oil, sebum production and also exfoliate. And at the same time, smooth out texture ’cause it really goes deep into the skin to unplug and slough off dead skin.
It also kind of helps with milia. When I wear a thick concealer in the daytime, I do notice that under my eyes I get little small dots and they go away when I use a chemical exfoliant. And in the daytime I use this NEOGEN Day Dream.
This is by Joan and it works really, really well actually. I find that this NEOGEN cream doesn’t make my sunscreen peel maybe because it’s like a whipped cream texture instead of like, it doesn’t have like a film former, it doesn’t set on the skin.
This one contains a bunch of whipped oils and also vitamin C and green tea. Just do a little massage around the eye area, like that. Oh I’ve been using an LED mask every night. And then I put on a guided meditation for releasing energy that doesn’t serve me anymore, which is really, really nice.
It kind of makes me slow down and look at myself in words, because, as you know like I am really bad with social media usage. So I have to force myself to not be on social media. It’s a relaxing time for myself.
It’s really necessary for me to make myself not be on social media. The sunscreen that I’ve been enjoying is this Youth-Extending SPF. I think this is the most affordable sunscreen that combines like the elegance of a sunscreen plus the high SPF, which is 50.
This one feels a lot more lightweight. It is a chemical sunscreen. Two fingers worth. I’m quite generous with this. To be quite honest, I don’t reapply my sunscreen every two hours, which I probably should.
I probably should get like a sunscreen mist or something just to mist over my makeup and stuff. We’ll see if I find a nice one. I’m gonna put on daily base makeup today, I want you to know. This is Misha BB cream, it’s so cute.
It’s number 23. So it’s a little bit darker for me, but I just had to have it. It’s only $6. There’s only two shades so if they don’t have your shade, you can use the ELF CC Cream or the iT Cosmetics one, which is a little more expensive but the ELF one works really well as well.
See how it’s like, gray toned? For base makeup I like using thin layers anyways because I don’t really love heavy feeling on my skin especially now that it’s summertime, because it’s really hot. And then I use kind of like a brightening concealer.
This YSL one works really well for me. You see how dark the deep setting is here. For daily wear I’m not too particular with the coverage, like a little bit is fine. And even though it takes effort to kind of get ready it actually makes me more productive because if I do need to go out and get something done I just like run out the door.
So we’ll, yeah. And I do have those days where I just want to sit in my bed and just scroll on YouTube and Instagram for like hours. Those are necessary I think just to replenish yourself and just to rest your body particularly.
But I think there is something to getting ready and moving around and going outside and being in the sun too. Try not to complicate things for myself, you know. I think if my body feels like it then, you know you gotta do it.
So this Almay powder I really like because it has green tea, ginkgo and also ginseng extract. And it’s also fragrance-free. Why do you need fragrance in a powder? I don’t know. And it just helps set any skincare.
So it doesn’t feel too like, heavy. Blush. Use this YSL powder. You can use any highlighter that you have. ‘Cause you know it just brightens up the darkness under the eyes. And then in the corner. Small things that just make a difference.
Romand makes the best Korean lip tints. This is the shade “Fig Fig”. Lip really just like livens up the entire face, doesn’t it? (lips smack) It looks so much more like put together. This mist is insane.
This is like one of the best setting sprays I’ve ever used from Rare Beauty. It does contain fragrant oils but it feels so nice on the skin. And it’s like those cloud mists, the Korean cloud mist dispensers.
And it really keeps your makeup on like all day, like without making it like crack or peel. So it really is nice. I like this a lot actually. It feels really nice and just like makes all the powder kind of like melt into the skin while keeping it set.
So, yeah it’s great. Leftover pad Thai. Oh no, leftover rice. Fried rice that I have. I’ve also been trying to just go out more like to parks, to dance and just to rest, I think it’s been really fun for me.
I’m also getting rid of a lot of things that I don’t require in my life. So I’m gonna try to sell this, I’m gonna show you this table that I think it’s just too leggy, there’s just too many legs and it really bothers me because it’s such visual clutter.
I really like my space to be just like very simple so I can think. It doesn’t look bad. Like it looks nice but there’s just a lot of legs and sometimes when I have to go there I kinda trip on them. And it’s just a lot.
There’s a wild tiger, a wild tiger. Hello! Hi, what are doing? Hm? You like all the plants? You like all the plants? Leftover fried rice is so good. So I got these like cauliflower rice packs. ‘Cause they’re lower in calories and higher in nutrients.
And then I fry it together with any kind of fried rice that I order from the Thai places. And it tastes really good and keep me full longer. Mm. Mm. All right, I finished up sending my emails and I want to try this C4 Smart Energy drink.
They sent this over, it’s zero sugar and the artificial sweetener is Stevia which I like better than most artificial sweeteners because a lot of others’ sugar alcohols make me feel really bloated and Stevia is the only one that doesn’t.
I don’t really mind drinking energy drinks with regular sugar anyways, my sugar intake is pretty low most of the time, but I want to see if this makes me bloat or not or make me feel sick. I don’t think it will.
So this is the Blackberry flavor and the caffeine content is about Hm. Does it not say? Oh. Come on. Hm. Hm! Where is it? Where is it? Anyways I already take pre-workout on the daily usually so this shouldn’t be much different.
I know a lot of people think energy drinks are unhealthy and they’re probably not the most healthy compared to like matcha, but you know some days you just got to get it done. I hope this it not too like sweet.

This has four legs plus all the chairs. That really bothers me. I also think I’m gonna get a rug. You see how there’s no rug on the floor and it’s really like hard to sit sometimes. I just like have a pillow there, like a sitting pillow.
So I was thinking maybe a handwoven rug would be nice just to sit on there but they’re so expensive. I just put that plant there. It looks good. I think it covers up the starkness of the workout bars and I have a couple more so I’m gonna put them up.
Hm, it’s okay. Better than nothing. It’ll start growing I think. Just chugged my C4 Energy drink. Ryan’s here. – Hello. – We are going to do Pamela Reif ab workout. Haven’t done like a ab workout in a little bit so that’s gonna happen today.
Yay. All right. Workout time. (energetic music) Finished the workout and did a little freestyle movement. Like it’s nice to just have movement like freeing your body, like expression. It feels really nice.
I think I used to be very embarrassed about how, what’s the word, non-coordinated and non-rhythmic I was. But the more I move along to music, the more I just like flail and just kind of just let my body move, I think I’m more comfortable with it.
And just the more you do it, the more you’re used to it. I never thought of myself as like anything athletic to be honest growing up because I was a heavier kid. Now being at this age being able to accept my body and also not be ashamed of it when I’m like dancing and stuff is a big, big deal for me.
So I think every day it gets easier, just like releasing that negative self-talk, releasing that unneeded judgment on myself and moving my body really helps. But I don’t really do too much to keep fit.
A lot of you guys always comment on how fit my body is and stuff. I think it’s all about eating nutrient dense food to be honest, I eat a lot of like green vegetables a lot of like Brussels sprouts and stuff.
Protein powder once a day. I don’t like do too much, you know? I don’t eat cheese, I don’t eat dairy at all and I think that helps a lot personally because I bloat with dairy. But everything else, I just eat in moderation.
I still eat sweets. I still eat like you guys know I eat peanut butter, chocolate but like in small doses of everything. So I just satisfy my cravings and it works really well for me. And obviously drinking a lot of water does help and just movement.
Movement really helps like walking, jumping, just like moving around, you know. You’re gonna be with your body for a very long time. Forever, your body’s always gonna be with you. Without your body, there is no mind.
Without your mind, what are you? So you got to take care of your body ’cause it’s all interconnected. Again, I don’t want to put too much pressure but yeah, it’s an effort. Everything is an effort you know? And I just want to be very transparent about that.
And I’m gonna make a protein shake and have a little yogurt snack with granola. Protein powder. I have pea protein, put some soy milk. You can also add fruit if you want. I got these freeze-dried fruit packet smoothie melts from Ralph’s and they are just freeze-dried fruit.
There’s nothing else in it. So I’m gonna put some of that. Also some fresh, fresh blueberries for post-workout. I hit it like it’s a baby. Like burping a baby, not hitting a baby. So the air comes up so that I don’t like chug a lot of air.
All right, I think it’s ready to drink. Mm! That’s quite good. Adds a little strawberry banana flavor. Mm, so good. (burps) Oops! And this usually will keep me full till nighttime. I’m gonna work on thumbnails and editing and also adding subtitles to my videos.
What I’m going to do right now. (food sizzling) Oh, all done! Looks good. Ready to eat. Mm. Topped it with some cilantro and some nutritional yeast to give it some cheesy texture. But this is it, yum! Pasta with chickpeas.
A little bit higher in protein because it’s made out of chick pea flour. And I use tofu as like a thickener and some Beyond Meat. Very, very easy to make. You want food? You want food? You already had food.
You just ate. (cat meows) She loves these. These little snack bites. Come here. Damn! Okay, okay don’t bite my finger off. It’s pretty late already and I shouldn’t be snacking but I’m a little bit stressed out.
Have these Silk dairy free yogurt. I never tried this. I just got it at Ralph’s. So I really want to try it. Mm! It’s pretty good. Gonna have to add some pumpkin seeds. You know I can’t eat anything normally.
I have to spice it up myself. Gonna add the pumpkin with granola. That’s looks good actually. You could eat this as a breakfast also if you add like fruit in it. Ooh. Okay, very promising. Mm! Very good.
Mm. I also took a really nice shower and listened to some lo-fi music and just put some bath salts. Really, really nice. I get really stressed out too, about everything. It’s really important to have these rituals I guess to calm myself down.
What I’ve been doing is doing LED masks, the red one. And then I lie down and turn on the guided meditation to help me center myself and just not be on my phone. It actually works really, really well.
I also listen to podcasts. There’s one podcast that I really like, let me find it. It’s called “The Savvy Psychologist”. They have different topics. She has different topics about different things and talks about gratitude, about dreaming, teeth grinding, all that stuff.
So if you’re looking for a podcast about mental health “The Savvy Psychologist” is a really good one. It’s on Spotify. I also like “The Self-Love Fix”. Those two are really really good. If you’re looking for one to kind of calm yourself down and talk about self-love.
