Pero Like’s Nighttime Skincare Routine
– I don’t have a skincare routine, don’t hate me please! – A few drops, bloop a dee doo bloop a dee doo – Most of the time, I don’t even brush my teeth. – This is my nighttime skincare routine. Here we go.
(funky music) – Today on Pero Like we are showing you our nighttime routine. And I feel like all of us have completely different nighttime routines. Like, definitely Claudia’s is super elaborate, I think.
And then Eli, he just pours water all over his face and then go to sleep. I feel like my nighttime routine is definitely somewhere in the middle because I definitely put some effort, but it’s not like I just pour water or use a bar of soap, and go to bed.
All right, well, the first thing is a shower. So let’s go. I wash my body with PanOxyl, this is great. And then I wash my hair this Biotin shampoo. (speaks in foreign language) with my Clarisonic (speaks in foreign language) Charcoal.
And then one thing that I’ve been doing recently is that I’ve been putting coconut oil all over my body in the shower. That way, when I come out, it’s not like super oily and sticky because I wash a little bit off.
– I’ll just start my get ready for bed routine. Here I am in my regular clothes, and here I am in my And here I am, in my pajamas. Wow! So I don’t know how detailed a routine you want, but I have a very specific skin routine.
Which is very new to me in the last few years. I have come to really embrace my bedtime routine. It makes me calm. Start by putting on (laughs) this is so silly. I feel like I’m one of those like, celebrities on Vogue.
It’s like, “here’s my nighttime skincare routine, here we go.” Neutrogena makeup remover. These aren’t ads, this is just what I use. Use reusable cotton rounds. These are just like a fabric-y rounds.
(calm music) – So my nighttime routine is honestly very simple. I just took my makeup off and I washed my face. And usually I just prepare for the next day. I’m kind of neurotic where I like to plan my days out the day before.
I plan my clothes out the night before. Why not? It makes me feel sane. Ish. It doesn’t stress me out. – Okay, my nightly routine. It’s actually pretty simple. Everyone probably has some skin routine, or some exfoliating, whatever – So I like to use these exfoliating pads every night on my face.
– I don’t do any of that. I’m gonna be honest. Most of the time, I don’t even brush my teeth. – Hello everybody! This is Maya’s nighttime routine. It starts at around seven-ish, when the sun is going down.
Like, I don’t have the typical nighttime routine. Where, I mean, I don’t have a skincare routine. Don’t hate me please! Don’t click off of this video! I promise to have one after this. I just don’t have one.
I take off my makeup by using face wipes. And I know a lot of people are going to be like, “Actually, face wipes are really bad, they only take off nine” Like, I get it. I get it, Cheryl, I get it. So here’s where I start my nighttime routine because it has changed under the circumstances.
I need to clear my mind. I need to wind down. So these are the things that I do that may not typically be like, your skincare routine. Right now, I actually just made a song. I’ve been working on this song for a minute.
So I will practice or play music every single day, but also especially at night. – Oh, and something I forgot to mention is every night, I do what I call a cowlick with my hair. Just like that. Because I like to go to sleep like this.
That way, when I wake up in the morning, it’s not a crazy mess. I don’t think I would go outside with this hairdo, but who knows? Maybe I rock it. Next step of skincare routine is the toner. Does anyone really know what toner does? It’s nice, it cleans off the excess of whatever you used to take your makeup off.
It’s refreshing. I don’t know, I just know it’s part of the routine and it’s nice. It’s also nice to wake up with it if you like to do toner in the morning. That’s also very nice. If you guys are trying to experience this video in 4D, go smell a rose while you watch this video.
My new lib scrub. This is before I brush my teeth. So, do a little. I don’t know it’s like sugar and olive oil who fricking knows what the actual ingredients are. Then you wipe off. Lip mask. Especially for those that are dry skin girls.
oh my God I sound like I’m in a Vogue thing. Especially for you dry skin girls. You really need a lip mask. – Hyaluronic face gel on. We love this. We praise it. A tube of Tula Glow and Get It cool and brightening eye balm.
Under. Under. – So what I do before I go to sleep, I plan my day. So on a piece of paper I write down the things that I want to get done. I pretty much lay out and plan out my whole day, and then as I get them done I’ll mark them down.
But this plan my day is so key to be productive. – So I’m working on a song right now, I’ll play a little bit of it. Just the chorus. But it’s pretty catchy and I’m very excited about it. ♪ I’ll take my boat out to the sea ♪ ♪ I’ll sail away from island You and Me ♪ ♪ Maybe one day I’ll wash up on shore ♪ ♪ We can try again once more ♪ So let’s move on to the next thing that I do.
I don’t really eat past seven because that’s just, like, a habit that I have. But I’m just gonna look. That’s the second thing I do. I just look. I just look at my fridge and I’m like, it’s a good fridge.
The third thing I do is I close my cabinets. I say, “Closed. You’re closed. The business is closed.” But, you know again, I look at my cabinet just to see if there’s anything in here that is calling for me.
Anybody? No, nothing. – I apply some what acne face moisturizer. Because we want to stay moisturized, ladies and gentlemen. All right, (speaks foreign language) I’m going to go outside and make some dinner.
Might watch some TV. I don’t know, because I don’t really have a set thing to do every night when it comes to like, activities. Especially during quarantine. – And then, I’ll kind of change it up, honestly, night to night, but you know, the most basic, I suppose, is a little retinol.
You girls 28 and up, you know, a little retinol. It helps with, you know, what you may call it, rejuvenation. I think everyone should be using retinol. Just good for your skin as you get a little older.
I think women know about it for sure. Women are like, once you get to a certain age, you’re like oh yeah, totally, retinol. Yeah, I use that. Now, retinol is not a moisturizer. It is a serum. So we need to follow it up with moisturizer.
So this is the moisturizer I love. A makeup artist used it on me once. Years ago, before I could afford it. ‘Cause it’s not like insanely pricey, but it’s like, you know. I needed to be in a different pay bracket before I could afford it.
So it took me a few years. So I can’t use my job. ‘Cause I really have to use this moisturizer, y’all. Definitely something that’s like, ugh, so much is expected of women, like, we have so many ridiculous standards to uphold, like, it’s ridiculous that we kind of spend so much on these products, blah blah blah, but I enjoy my skincare routine.
And I don’t know if that’s just me buying into the bullshit, but I really like it and I really like that I take care of my skin. – I hate to reveal my secret identity, but I do wear glasses. Ugh. I’ve been discovered.
Stop, paparazzi, please. I just put my glasses on, I put my PJs on, I’m wearing a pug shirt because pugs rule. Got some water ’cause hydration. – And then, I plan out my clothes. As you can see, that dope ass hoodie.
And finally, I usually plan out my food. Because of the quarantine and being home, I kind of already know what I’m going to eat, so I’ll just cook it on the day, but before all this craziness, I would actually prep my food the night before.
It helps me stay healthy. Helps me stay, you know, on it. – But honestly what I do is I clean. Because I like to wake up in the morning to a clean house. What is this hair today? And every single time I wake up and there’s dishes I’m like, oh no, I don’t like it.
I don’t like it. (calm jazzy music) – I have one last pee before bed. And then put on some lotion. (calm jazzy music) – So right before going to sleep I set my alarm which I have set right there. I always listen to a podcast when I go to sleep because I just have such a hard time sleeping.
I really, really, really do. You know what really helps me sleep though? I have this weighted blanket. Woof. – But essentially, that’s pretty much it. Maybe I’ll play some video games for a little bit.
Also don’t judge me about the brushing the teeth thing okay? I heard it enough. My teeth are fine. Literally only one cavity in my entire life. Don’t judge me. – Among the obvious nighttime routine stuff like brushing your teeth and taking off your makeup is sometimes I will meditate.
Whenever I’m having like a really tough day and I need to like, get messages, and I feel stuck, like spiritual-wise, or energy-wise, I will bring out this box that has my angel cards in them they have some incense.
They have some kind of like, things that will activate my spiritual side. When we go to bed we just have so much stuff attached to us. And I want to wake up in the morning with none of that like, residue stuff.
I want to start my day fresh. So I kind of have to, you know, like I said before, I have to wind down. I have to clear things. And I have to settle anything in my heart that happened that day and just kind of like, let them be.
And the last thing that I will do before I go to bed is watch Steven Universe because I’m recently obsessed with Steven Universe. I love it so much. And I’ll watch tiktoks. Both of those things I do not recommend doing before bed because they make your brain more alert.
But they make me happy right now. – Now I put my Invisalign. – The most important part. I put in my night guard. I thought I woke him up. – So I hope this was at least entertaining. It’s not your typical nighttime routine but hey, this is how we do, in (speaks foreign language) – This always happens, I always have to do something before I actually fall asleep.
Just to chill and relax. What I’m doing tonight is I’m reading this book that I got recently. It is about comedy writing for late night TV. Because your boy is learning. Using the last few minutes of my day, today, to read a little bit.
