My Ultimate Anti-Aging Smoothie
all right you’ve been asking about my
anti-aging smoothie recipe so I’m
finally gonna show it to you but I’ll
warn you this smoothie is not for the
faint of heart nor the shall I say light
of pocketbook I’ve got a host of
superfoods that I’ve researched that do
things like enhance telomere length
repair DNA up regulates fortuyn’s nad
etc and this smoothie albeit somewhat
expensive is about the most tasty low
carbohydrate icecream Ishta serve you’ll
ever have for breakfast and it’s good
for you so first thing you want your ice
ice is your face keeps things nice and
cool so you can see i’m gonna make
enough smoothies for two people today
for two people so if you made this for
one take everything I’m showing you in
just cut it in half so here we go this
is your back all right you want a lot of
ice because we’re gonna mix this up and
have it be like ice cream next and yes I
did wash my hands prior to making this
smoothie you want half an avocado for
one smoothie and this just lends a great
deal of creaminess sometimes instead of
an avocado or if avocados do not agree
with you a good substitute is coconut
milk or coconut cream but not Mikado is
pretty good too okay so we got our
avocado in there the next thing that
we’re gonna add is my paper towel up
here so much miss it so we’re gonna add
college into this this is the ancient
and torchy colleges show that punch
other collagen powder looks like that
so the multi collagen powder you could
use a protein powder if you wanted to
just using collagen today this is not
necessarily a high protein smoothie it’s
it’s got a lot of amino acids in it and
we have two heaping scoops of collagen
all right the next one is a really nice
dark cow blends we get our tubes I’ve
got two things I put in here that are
probably the most potent force or two is
a DNA repair
so one heaping teaspoon of cacao per one
no other heaping teaspoon of cacao
because they’re making two okay the
other one that’s really really nice as a
so too
blueberry powder getting the resveratrol
you’re getting your Feist eaten and this
is again not quite as keeping a teaspoon
as you would use for the cacao but a
pretty decent-sized teaspoon
okay max and this is done this is not
necessary
from a nutritive standpoint but it does
help you absorb some of the lipids a
little bit better and it lends a a nice
texture to the smoothie this is
sunflower lecithin not to be confused
about tonight sunflower oil is just fine
but it really helps a little bit with
the mixing and this is just a teaspoon
of this stuff and of course I’m using
two for the making two smoothies so
sunflower lecithin the next one to
stabilize blood glucose is Ceylon
cinnamon so this will enhance your
insulin sensitivity all day long and
what’s been shown is two teaspoons of
Ceylon cinnamon can do this so I’m says
we’re putting eight heaping teaspoon
which really with the size of these
teaspoons comes out to about two
teaspoons
okay so we got our Ceylon cinnamon here
the next one is optional but I like it
the company chimera makes a nice little
cacao booster and even though I’ve
already got cacao and cinnamon in here
they add a little bit of glutamine and
there’s Calicut I like because it gives
a nice little spice this one I don’t do
too much out but just one shake and then
another shake doesn’t make it – okay so
that one’s optional but I like the
flavor that it gives to this movie okay
gonna get some electrolytes in there and
even though when I finish I sprinkle it
with a coarse salt to give it some
texture I also put in some Celtic salt
in here just a the edge of a teaspoon
okay one and then the edge of a teaspoon
again – okay next is d-ribose wonderful
flavor great for energy great for ATP
but it’s basically like a negative
glycemic index sugar meaning that it
does everything and sugar does without
raising your blood glucose this stuff’s
magical which is nice little boost of
energy so one and two now speaking of
energy and ATP
there is one thing
that I forgot to get out that I may get
out now if you want to follow me over to
the fridge here and that is creatine I
put about five grams of creatine into
the smoothie because again it’s great
for staving off muscle loss great for
your workout later on the day for doing
that it’s a wonderful neural pick-me-up
that’s five grams we’re doing 10 grams
give you nutrition scientists might be
wanting to jump out and say oh you’re
not gonna absorb all five grams at a
time research goes back and forth on
that but I like to go with five grams
and just get it all done with in case
I’m not going to do two two and a half
grand portion starting today okay now a
lot of people that poodles noodles
brings to their smoothie and you can if
you want to not consume a lot of
oxalates
steamed your greens get rid of the water
and put the greens in however I find it
by clip bunch of greens and my morning
smoothie inevitably about two or three
o’clock in the afternoon no matter where
I’m at I just take a giant dump and so
because of that what a hack this is I
get these low oxalate greens from dr.
Thomas Collins vegetable powders this is
a blend of a bunch of really good greens
one teaspoon of this is basically eating
a salad okay so you can use any greens
powder really but I’m just using this
stuff because honestly I like it and
it’s low oxalate which means that we’re
really not getting any of the high
amounts of oxley to find things like
spinach all etc and those greens have a
lot of different greens in it so it’s
very diverse
yeah covering a lot of the yadus right
yeah that’s the boss of my fabulous
scenario okay next we get to the beta
glucan the mushrooms for sig Matic 10
mushroom blend
little edge of the teaspoon of this one
little edge of the teaspoon – now the
next two things I’m putting in here even
though what I just did is give us a lot
of good big room canceling mushrooms I
like to step it up a notch so I’m going
to add one for lung function and one for
brain function the one I’m gonna have
for lung function is cordyceps mushroom
extract okay and again these are
optional but I like to have these okay
some cordyceps and then the other one is
lion’s mane so we’ve got a lot of really
great mushroom extracts in there okay I
don’t know if you’ve counted up the
carbohydrates so far if you’re watching
but so far we’ve pretty much
okay so we are almost ready to blend oh
I forgot one thing I forgot one thing of
course I did
liver ok liver so we’re getting lots of
nice choline precursors Bolle etc and
again this one’s optional for you gordon
Edes later on the day but I mean the
delivery can almost feel this stuff
surging for your bloodstream when you
drop some good desiccated liver that’s
about a teaspoon of the liver powder
that I put in there okay now we’re gonna
mix it up I personally kind of like to
use bone broth when I’m mixing my
smoothie today I’m using maple water for
two reasons hey I don’t have bone broth
this morning and B I’m making this
smoothie in India
I’ve already been perspiring all morning
long during an hour-long workout you
lose electrolytes pretty readily maple
water does have a little bit of sugar in
it but it’s pretty low it’s jam-packed
with electrolytes very similar to
coconut water so you could use coconut
water or maple water and your base in
the summer on hot day the winter you
some point bone broth now this one is
kind of like an eyeball I put in less
than I think I’m gonna need for the
maple water because what I’m gonna do is
blend this and if you follow me over to
the blender here when I blend this
you’re gonna notice that it takes about
a good two minutes to blend and the
blender makes a ton of noise and you got
to stir the whole time but that’s the
key to getting it to that ice cream
consistency if you push blend and
automatically it mixes like a liquid
it’s gonna be a drinkable smoothie which
means you’re gonna get through it faster
it’s gonna be less station you can’t eat
it with a spoon like a nice you know a
soluble type of thing so we’re gonna put
this on and at this point what I’m gonna
do is I’m going to turn this on and
start to stir so you guys can just see
what it sounds like and then I’m going
to basically turn the video off and I’ll
show you kind of the second part how we
add the toppings and how it serves so
you guys don’t have to watch during two
minutes of blending so basically it’s
gonna sound like this when I flip it on
whoops there we go sound like this when
I flip it on if I know how to use
outlets and
blender is struggling that’s what you
want we’ll be back in two minutes
all right the blending is done and you
can see the texture here it’s nice and
thick that’s exactly how we want it very
thick even when I go like this you know
it doesn’t fall off the skirt that’s
that’s what you want now what I’m gonna
do here is first of course as you saw
this is a very expensive smoothie these
are the type of things you know that you
hear about like the billion dollar Oh at
that place in in LA that I go to you
know some like organics you you you’re
getting that type of thing you pay 30 40
bucks for going a coffee shop and then
this smoothie probably all win you know
if you add up everything is like a $78
smoothie which is not that bad but of
course you want to make sure you harvest
every last bit of goodness which is what
I clean out that’s it well I don’t so
you’re gonna you’re definitely not gonna
be eating out after you have this smooth
space you from now there’s one thing I
forgot to put in it then I’m gonna show
you now normally I want to put this in
for the blending but I’m just gonna stir
it now and that’s stevia
that’s stevia for the sweetness now this
is this is a micro organic stevia powder
I usually will use like the butterscotch
toffee or the vanilla liquid because I
like the flavor of that better but this
is good so I do buy one shake like that
to one another shake like that for two
smoothies okay
now the other thing that you’re gonna do
because this smoothie is not actually
done because after I stir this in then
we get to the fun part where we make it
look good and we add some my favorite
superfood toppings to it okay so what
we’re gonna do is we’re gonna spoon this
into a bowl again because even though
I’m saying smoothie really this is more
like an acai bowl by the time we
finished making it okay and what we’re
gonna do is once I get all the smoothie
into the bowl and we get every last bit
of a goodness out is I’m gonna add some
things that give it a little bit of
crunch and texture things that you
wouldn’t want to blend into the smoothie
because they would of course get
pulverized but they’re gonna lend a lot
of flavor and kind of give
like that nice satiating crush you enjoy
this movie even more you could you know
you could punish it like this but I I
personally like to paddle it all the
superfoods in at the end you’ll notice
why I’m using a spatula and you know I
have a large number of spatulas that I
go through at home because I do a lot of
these smoothies at home and whenever I’m
getting the smoothie out of the blender
because again I like to harvest every
last bit of goodness out of there what
happens is the spatula will get a little
bit kind of torn out but that’s okay
spatulas are not expensive just a quick
question meant for those people that
wanted to use greens if they didn’t have
the Loxley greens mm-hmm that’s greens
and this wouldn’t really change the
flavor that much it’s just you may never
much know you just you definitely have a
guarantee that for me I’m some meetings
and stuff in the afternoon and it’s just
it’s inconvenient painting the back seat
the toilet okay we’ve got some spirulina
chlorella tablature these are from from
energy bits we just kind of eyeball
these but basically I’m just kind of
covering the top you know for these it’s
maybe 20 to 30 tablets or so over the
top which works that’s about one serving
and then the cow mr. John’s one of my
favorite favorite things to Thomas to be
with and also really really good source
of fiber if you’re missing out on those
greens you know you can get some fiber
without the full on you know dump
inducing effect so we add some cacao
nibs to that like I mentioned we do a
salt but I’m switching to a different
salt for the top because this salt is
thicker has a little more texture a
little more crunch to it so we’re gonna
do just a sprinkling of salt across the
top there again the topping we just kind
of eyeball a little bit okay and then if
you’re super low-carb super kiddo you
can leave this off but I’m just putting
a small sprinkling of blueberries dried
blueberries for even more sore tunes
maybe twelve dried blueberries and again
like if you’re like therapeutic keto you
don’t
we’re talking like less than five grams
of carbohydrates with two blueberries so
it’s really not that big of a deal
and then again optional if you want to
totally forego carbs but I like to
drizzle at the very end
some manuka honey or like a local raw
organic honey over the top because that
it just makes those bites that you take
like everybody just becomes absolutely
amazingly I just a little bit of this
honey and again honey it’s it can be
almost like a negative place in the game
next food and manuka just got so many
probiotics and antiviral antibacterial
antifungal it’s very nutrient rich it’s
very mineral rich and so again like
don’t don’t worry too much about a
little bit of manuka honey and a little
bit of blueberries like it’s just the
pros outweigh the cons okay so then you
put a spoon in it and this my friends is
what the ultimate anti-aging smoothie
looks like Mangia Mangia gonna be nine
years old have to eat this thing and if
you saw Ben’s Instagram a few days ago
you can see my react so on my reaction
this this it tastes so good you almost
don’t believe it’s good for you mmm
