MY SKINCARE ROUTINE ft. HYRAM
[Applause] [Applause] [Applause] hi everybody i look so you know i know i’m trying to be nice about myself emma you look beautiful today i haven’t even brushed my teeth yet it’s gross i’m doing a collab today i know you guys are probably shaking in your boots right now this never happens i don’t do collabs but today i’m doing a collab because this is one i’ve been waiting for and i’m doing it with my skincare king hi rum he makes the best videos about skin care he roasts people’s skincare routines he roasts products he talks about what he likes what he hates he explains everything he literally made me fall in love with skincare so i asked him hey hi rum can you tell me how i’m doing so today i’m going to be doing my skincare routine in front of hiram over zoom and he’s going to tell me if i have a good skincare routine and if it’s high room approved my skin is doing pretty good right now but i do have like some struggles that i want to talk to him about and like things that i struggle with and i want him to give me advice and stuff so this is gonna be super fun and this is probably the only collab i’m gonna do for the rest of my life i also got 12 hours of sleep now last night but i had so many nightmares that i woke up in a rage of anger i wish i could talk about them but i can’t because they’re like bad dreams um let me show you something i was going to show you how big my coffee cup is today but i lost my coffee cup where is it also why do i look so bad today do you know what it is because my tan is going away i’m losing my tan oh here it is this is how big my coffee cup was today besides my head vibes it’s time to call hiram hi thank you for coming on my channel i of course i think you’re going to be really impressed with my skincare routine tell me a little bit about yourself before we get started and then we’ll do it so yeah i’m uh i guess the youtuber i guess you could say um that focuses on skin care i try to make it like fun and entertaining and not boring like how a lot of skincare information is totally i usually like reacting to skincare routines depending on how severely bad they are i used to be a mario badescu rose water spray witch hazel um you know using person for some context i know you hate those products like i used to consistently use products that you hate and now i feel like every product i use you either have talked about or i think you would like so let’s just find out um when it comes to taking off my makeup let’s start there if i’m this is what you’re going to hate but if i’m out and about i will use these oh okay okay but it’s only only for emergencies i promise the simple i did of your review on simple and i was like you know what if you absolutely like had to use makeup wipes like you are dying in the middle of the desert and for some reason need a makeup wipe those are good ones to go with because they’re pretty like gentle and non-irritating yeah you’re doing the best you can i guess okay but i don’t normally i’ll show you what i normally use now because i just had to make sure that i was being honest so if i was wearing makeup the first thing i’d use is this and i found this from you no way yeah so i use this and i’m not gonna put it on now well i guess i could why not wow i’m so impressed you know that product because that’s like deep in the depths of my channel and like the corners i do like i am i mean i went on accutane for seven months so that helped with everything but i still get the occasional like cystic zit oh i get red like i feel that struggle i feel bad like the redness is real for me um so that’s a huge struggle and i would love products that would make me less red okay okay good you just tell me yeah you don’t need to talk doors step two is okay the you’re gonna love this to the people no way but i actually wait i have two that i use i use this and then i also use i also use this cerebellum okay hydrating one i use this in the shower that is literal perfection i’m so proud of you that you use that cleanser the cleanser is like life-changing i’m so happy depending on how many times i shower i’ll usually use this because sometimes i have to shower twice a day like you know if you like workout in the morning and then like whatever so but i don’t want to overdo it so that’s why i do this in the shower so it’s every time i’m not in the shower but i usually wash my face in the shower your approach to it i think is really good because like the thing is i always say this on my channel and like people like over cleanse their skin a lot especially if you like work out and stuff like that your skin gets like super sweaty over cleansing is like a real thing and it’ll even cause more problems and especially before like you were on accutane before and you don’t necessarily have super oily skin so over cleansing your skin can really strip it and like cause even more problems do you so you use that one after you work out yes that’s so smart why haven’t i thought of that because it’s like i’m like why haven’t i thought of that because it’s like the perfect cleanser to make sure you’re not overly stripping your skin but still to get the sweat off of your skin that’s really smart and now i’ll show you how to apply it and you can tell me if i’m doing a bad job okay yes let me watch i’m being gentle right then i get a little bit in my mouth which is always my favorite part then i pat it dry and that’s it that’s perfect wait how long do you usually cleanse how how many seconds would you say on average like whatever i just did like ten should i be doing okay you should do like 30 seconds i think it’s like the perfect amount 10 seconds is pretty quickly for like some of the ingredients to go like deeper into your skin from now on we’re 30 seconds or none oh actually not none at all that would be really bad now we’re getting into my extensive serum oh okay i usually start with this one if i i don’t do this every day so we have the bliss clear genius serum and i do this twice a week that’s perfect i mean that’s my favorite bliss product it’s it’s the best one that they have it was really confusing for me because i wanted to exfoliate this is an exfoliant right yeah yeah okay well this is like i am so afraid of exfoliants and so i was like you know what i feel good with this one i’m just going to use this one i’m not going to do like because i used to exfoliate my face like with the like little beads oh you would have oh no you would have been so mad at me like i was on some like st ives apricot scrub [ __ ] back in the day what was i doing next we get in to crazy territory here oh i’m nervous i do use this good good amazing bravo because it helps with your redness at all i feel like it does i mean i look i don’t have any redness like i feel like my redness has gotten better since i’ve really started using every serum that i use but it’s also hard to know what it’s from because i use so many serums oh boy you’re making me nervous i’m getting scared like how many one night before we’d ever spoken a word to each other i found this amazon list and i don’t know if you made it or someone else made it but all these serums were in it i bought them from there and i do feel like a stalker but i was trying to find good hiram [ __ ] serums and so i don’t know if you’ve known what these are if this is even your from your amazon list or not we’re about to find out and i’m scared once upon a tea green tea matcha revitalizing serum do we like this we do like this and it may have been my list because that’s one of the best skincare products on amazon and you’re ahead of the game i haven’t even done my amazon skincare video yet which stay tuned for that but that’s literally one of the ones i’m going to feature because it’s so good it has green tea it’s really soothing for redness it’s amazing i’m like scared about how you have nothing bad to say yet i’m waiting for you to yell at me about something i feel like we’re just building up for one really bad just like i will just flop over and die type of reaction it’s my moisturizer you’re gonna hate my moisturizer i know it already no okay but we’ll get there okay i do this vitamin bliss vitamin c serum oh okay yeah yeah here’s the thing vitamin c can be well why do you want to use a vitamin c serum tell me that um because it is brightening and firming okay these ones are another one i found from your amazon list i think okay and i think that they’re korean which is always a good one oh my god those are my favorite those are literally my favorite serums in the world no way the i you uh how do you say that brand name i unique tea relief serum in the in the black snail restore serum which the black snail one i’m scared that it literally has snail poop in it or something but yeah it’s a little weird but once you actually get it on your skin you’re like holy [ __ ] this is like magic potion right no i’m i’m not even kidding those are my favorites you definitely stocked my amazon page when i tell you hirom i went down a hiram rabbit hole one night because i had just gotten off accutane i wasn’t allowed to use like any product they were like use minimal product like just a hydrating cleanser and then like a bunch of moisturizer and like maybe an oil and that’s it and so i just didn’t use any products for seven months and then i came out the other side and i was like okay wait what now so i just stalked you to the bone but now we get to something you’re gonna hate me i had a whole moisturizer meltdown okay i have so many that i didn’t know which one to use so i just started using this one because i liked how it smelled oh no the tatcha water cream oh okay i mean okay you know it’s not the worst thing in the world and i’m not just saying that like to justify it i’m serious i did a review video on tatcha and i was like i want to love touch touch tatcha products so bad because they have so many good ingredients so this is the reason why i like it because there’s certain moisturizers where if i put them over all my serums it just turns like creamy and white do you know what i’m talking about and it like it doesn’t mix well with my serums and this one i like the best because number one it smells great unfortunately but number two because it goes right over everything and i feel like it doesn’t like mix wrong you know what i mean you’re pretty good on like fragrance minimalism and if you were going to go with the fragrance products like tatcha products are so high quality the ingredients are so good so that’s i’ll i’ll let it slide i’ll let it slide yes i mean i use this lip mask usually at this point it’s the line oh okay lineage i mean here’s the thing if you like that one then you you know keep using it i feel like whenever i’ve used it and the ingredients you like put it on your lips you’re like oh my god this feels amazing you wipe it off and you’re like where did where did all the moisture go like it like it left you know i kind of know what you mean and i think the only reason why i use it is because it smells good okay if i had to recommend one touch of product to you know compensate for me roasting their moisturizer that’s the one that i would recommend done i love that see that there we go this is you have to listen i have the craziest dark circles and so i’m always trying to find a new eye cream and i use this one the hand skin okay eye cream is glorified moisturizer unfortunately but in terms of like actual benefits that an eye cream versus a face cream provides i’m sorry to say there’s there’s there’s not very much i love see but that’s great because that just eliminates a step for me even though i can’t find the ingredients it says it has hyaluronic acid it has centella which is like amazing ingredient love that one good for redness like i’ll use it till it runs out and then never use it again um okay so this is my go-to face mask and it’s so expensive and i really want a alternative the barbara stern you are bougie oh my goodness so i’ll give you i have a backstory i got this when my acne was my acne used to be like bad bad right and i and so i went to this place this like super expensive skincare store and they were like this will fix all of your problems and i’ve been using it ever since of course because i just was like anything to help me like please and so i was like willing to spend two hundred and thirty dollars on a mask which makes me wanna throw up oh my god so please give me an alternative it’s not that special my woman is hurting her tell me that this is liquid gold right now it’s a cowlin clay mask and i know so many face masks that are like so affordable that are cowlin based face masks that will essentially do the same thing do you know what no this is great news now i never have to buy it again right now i’m done i never have to buy it again yeah i’m just i would not encourage you to repurchase that we will never use her again done and last but not least check out i think that these are dumb but i use them anyway hero cosmetics little package i think those are great and a really good way of treating acne because you know how did you ever use like the mario badescu drying lotion yes so you know how that like dries out like your pimples really really bad what that does is it seals it so that the skin doesn’t lose water so it’s like the best thing you can do if you have more normal skin or you have more if you’re on accutane or something like that i’m very impressed with you that’s my whole routine that oh where the hell is a sunscreen please do not make me reverse everything i said is this gonna be your reverse uno card moment emma can i tell you how much of a little brat i am because i like to be tan and that’s why i can’t do it but i know that i need you to yell at me right now so that i wear sunscreen moving forward and you sent me a sunscreen to my house you need to try it right now because here’s the thing it’s the most important step and i know i know you want to be tan i know that like you love that but i hate to be the bearer of bad news but it’s like if you don’t wear sunscreen literally everything else you do preventative hydration the full routine it that shit’s not gonna matter i’m so glad that you sent me one because now i have one honestly the thing is i always associate like when i was younger like when i was going through puberty putting sunscreen on my face would give me acne and so i think it traumatized me a little bit but i feel like this one looks great can i put it over my moisturizer do you have to put it under yeah yeah no put it over it’s your last step in your routine oh no this is like it’s like a serum right it’s so easy okay done yes see now you’re set you’re fully set so you sent me a few things that you wanted me to try and i wanted to wait one of them was the sunscreen that we just discussed where did i put it i don’t know but you sent me a few more things and i want you to tell me about what they are and how i can add them into my routine are you down so i decided i did learn about your skin type just like a month ago i can’t even remember but you told me about your skin type and i got you products to be honest i don’t even remember what products i got you so you’re gonna have to show them okay great i got you i got you this was my this is the most interesting one and that’s why i’m starting with this one the anti-dandruff shampoo which i’ve heard you talk about but i forget what it does you know how you talked about those little bumps on your skin that you get you get a thing called fungal acne which is those little bumps on your skin that shampoo you use it as a face mask and it like changes changes the game gets rid of all the bumps so you use this like as like a 10 minute mask no way okay i’m trying that literally how often is it right how often can i use that like once or twice a week do you think i would say at most every other day just give your skin a break you know and number two we have the youth to the people app adapt deep moisture cream adaptogens are mushroom extracts and they basically like soothe the redness and bring down the irritation but even more than that that one is mysteriously lightweight but can be so amazing for people with severely dry skin spoiler i did try it like two nights ago because i couldn’t wait even though i was like trying to make it a surprise for me but i did try it and i’m obsessed with it so that one’s great but i didn’t want to include it because i’ve been using the tattoo one for like two months so whatever next this is the hemp matcha um hydrating cleanser by crave beauty this one is literally the perfect balance between the use of the people green tea cleanser and like the cerave hydrating one because it’s it doesn’t overly strip your skin and especially because it’s winter time it’s like the it’s a great time to use this one oh yeah i’m so excited i didn’t know that’s really interesting i’m so excited you know i’m shooting you texts being like hiram this just changed my life so the last one is this what is this this is the skin barrier repairing serum oh wait oh my god it’s repairing this one what this does is it repairs your skin’s moisture barrier i started using this for three days and my skin has just like it’s crazy i’m so excited to try it this has been the most fun i’ve had in like six months i’m so excited i’m gonna try all these things send you reviews of every single product and um and you know that i’m gonna continue to harass you every time i wanna know something about a new product for like the rest of our lives i am so impressed by your knowledge of skin care like you really have invested time and energy into i mean not just my videos but learning about it i’m so proud of you because i remember like watching your video i think you used like the i remember watching like one of your videos and you use like the charlotte tilbury magic cream or something like that and i was like i love it like i love all of this so anyway and it’s honestly thanks to you because i
