MY SKINCARE EDIT – UNBOXING AD
hi everybody and welcome back it’s time to do the unboxing of my skincare edit with superdrug i teased this well i’ve been teasing on instagram a lot this week but i teased it up in my youtube youtube so this is super exciting on the 4th of november this goes on sale this is my skincare edit with superdrug why is it exciting well it’s exciting because you know i love superdrug it’s one of my all-time favorite beauty retailers everything is effective and affordable and these are seven full-size full-size products for just 25 pounds they would normally retail at 40 pounds they also come in a really brilliant box and when i say a box it’s brilliant not because i’m on it but it’s brilliant because it’s got all the information you need about the products how to use them how to fit them into your routine and everything is super tightly packed in because obviously you can buy this online and get it posted to you if you open it up you’ll notice that inside is a description of all seven of the products and it tells you how to use them why i love them and then on the back you’ve got all the information you need as well let’s go through them shall we this is the complete skincare edit by me i’m so excited basically it’s like a beauty come shopping with me one of the instagram videos i do where i take you into the store and i basically tell you what to spend your money on this is that encapsulated into a single box so the first product is the b soft multi acid retexturizing pads now the b range from superdrug is absolutely a cult classic they have an amazing glycolic cleanser they have an amazing glycolic lotion as well but this this is the retexturizing pads and i chose this because so many of you say to me i don’t know how much do you acid to use and i don’t know which acid to use and i don’t know how to use it well this solves all your problems this is a glycolic based ready infused pad that pad has everything you need to wipe over freshly cleansed skin morning or night right the way down neck and chest don’t forget neck and chest it’s super important in fact i’m going to put this to use now you know i’m always talking about the fact that i have sun damage to my chest but not my face well this is the perfect retexturizing acid pad for you yes obviously it has a glycolic in which can resurface your skin overnight or during the day but also it has the right level of acid for the right amount of skin it’s such a brilliant product to use they’re also brilliant one day for traveling when we get back to traveling they are the bee soft multi acid retexturizing pads they are absolutely brilliant um they are they say they’re for all skin types and i agree because actually they will work for both um men and women and also for teenagers who are starting to get a little bit of breakouts but also if you’ve got mastery as well you need to exfoliate your skin it’s absolutely essential especially at this time of year when we go into autumn and winter we’re wearing a lot of masks sometimes we’re not actually exfoliating our skin properly that’s the easiest way to do it at the other end of the box is and you’ll not be surprised to see this at all the vitamin e hot cloth cleanser from superdrug is an absolute classic it’s it’s by far and away my favorite high street cleanser why do i love it because it’s loaded with vitamin e obviously which is super hydrating to your skin super reparative to your skin but more importantly it’s a rinse off cream cleanser and a rinse off quick cream cleanser and a rinse off cream cleanser that looks like that which means that it has that texture of a really beautiful rich cream almost like a moisturizer and then what happens is you you apply it to your your face at the end of the day morning and night but particularly at night it’s amazing it comes into its own it starts to melt all of your makeup all of your spf all of the pollution and grime for your skin and then it comes with a muslin cloth but there’s a little treat in this box for later you damp that down and then you start to wipe it off and rinse it off and then what happens is the cleanser turns to milk in water and rinses clear away absolutely 100 clean skin but hydrated healthy happy skin your once you’ve used it there’ll be no going back there really won’t it’s such a great product and there’s a little treat at the end of this that will supercharge it to make sure it gets rid of every single scrap of waterproof makeup including long lasting brow gel eyeliner and tight liner and mascara you know i love hyaluronic acid so i had to choose a hyaluronic acid i’ve chosen the me plus this is superdrug’s range of boosters this is the me plus hyaluronic acid and it’s really thick really hydrating it’s not one of those watery ones it’s actually almost like a gel hyaluronic acid it’s really beautiful it’s quite thick a little goes a long way and it instantly hydrates you apply it to freshly cleansed skin it’s absolutely beautiful what do you top it off with well you have a choice in here you can either top it off straight away with the simply pure hydrating serum again another cult classic the amount of times i see this in um beauty editors beauty journalists and beauty influencers round up of best high street products it’s a glycerin moisturizer in a serum form and they say a serum but i think it’s quite a thick serum look at that it’s that perfect gel cream texture that i absolutely love i always say that glycerin is the unsung hero of the skincare world if hyaluronic acid is the sort of hadid sisters bella and gigi the sort of newcomers the new supermodels on the block well this is cindy crawford it’s glycerin is so overlooked in this industry it really is it’s been around a long time but that doesn’t mean to say that it’s not a brilliant humectant it’s found naturally in the skin where it locks moisture into the skin that locks the water in and that gives you that super soft comfortable comfortable feeling with your skin the two of them together are all you need to hydrate your skin no matter what time of year it is it really they really are now you know i use a vitamin c every single morning and this is the vitamin c 10 booster i’ve chosen it because it’s a new generation vitamin c so it’s completely stable in water it doesn’t smell fussy musty or earthy like a vitamin c and it’s stable so it lasts longer it’s also beautiful boosters you can use on their own on your skin or you can mix them into things so you could add this to your daily moisturizer your daily serum and you’ll get that antioxidant skin brightening property of vitamin c in your existing skincare or you can use it on your skin on its own morning and night this is really really lovely a lot of you when you found out i was doing this box said to me you will include this vitamin c 10 booster you’ve introduced it so of course i am it’s super lightweight almost like a liquid hyaluronic acid serum but that means it it goes over your skin really easily really quickly hydrates it smells slightly sort of citrusy and that’s obviously because a lot of people don’t like the smell of vitamin c but it’s a 10 which means it’s powerful enough to protect your skin during the day from pollution and to a degree sunlight and at night you can use it to actually help repair your skin and target pigmentation and sun damage it gives that brightness and that glow to skin and then i’ve got one more booster and that’s the niacinamide and zinc why have i chosen this well because niacinamide is vitamin b3 and it’s that rebalancing vitamin in your skin if you’ve got oily skin it tends to lessen production of sebum and help breakouts of spots and masking and things like that and also ingrown hairs for guys if you shave and then the zinc is also nature’s antimicrobial mineral it really is but also if you’ve got any problematic skin so if you’re a teenager if you’re pregnant if you’ve got any of those hormonal rollercoasters if you’re menopausal and you’re breaking out then niacinamide is super important for you but also it repairs your barrier function so while it also rebalances over production of sebum it also really really really cleverly manages to hydrate the skin by repairing the barrier function so it’s suitable for all skin types it really is a brilliant vitamin b3 niacinamide serum to put into your skincare routine again you can use it on freshly cleaned skin morning and night you can mix it in with your skin cake and mix it in with your moisturizer in with your serum that’s how boosters work they’re really clever and then hidden away under here on the inside is this i sort of i’m joking about this but it is true when superdogs said to me do you want to do a beauty come shopping with me skincare edit in a box i said yeah but it is going to have to have microfiber cloths in it they’re so difficult to find so many of you say to me the minute
