hi everyone i am very excited to be chatting with laura de bruyne for the face today she is the founder of the incredible boutique destination the webster so laura i have to ask you i feel like you created the most brilliant chicest store i’ve ever been to in my life how did you conceptualize the webster i mean your first one was in miami right yes i fell in love you know i fell in love with miami i fell in love with this amazing architecture one of a kind you know in the world i wanted you know a place where time stops where actually you can you know take off your shoes and you know like enjoy enjoy the your surroundings well it’s a very luxurious experience but i feel like it’s also very intimate you said you wanted it to feel like it was your closet fast forward our latest um flagship in uh um yeah in l.
a exactly and it’s sir david ajayi who did the architecture yeah you know like he’s more known to build museums or to build oh okay we have so this is marcel yes sorry for the interruption but it’s parts we are it’s part of who i am so it’s uh it’s really and you have the same feeling of time stops of like but with with serenity like in a meditative way you know with your little fountain the fact that i’m that i grew up you know in cognac also and um i think also french people we we love all the senses you know like and that’s something that was very important for me i developed um a scent for the webster and it’s an orange blossom because florida state and it’s a tropical one um so it’s very fresh and it’s our own scent and so now we have the candles the the room spray you know we even have them you know like a bum for the hands you know like with the scents so beautiful and you’ve created the ultimate ultimate luxury by you know putting joanna check in on the sixth floor and david mallett the most sought after hairdresser and most sought after facialist in the world all in the webster exactly like the dream you know like it was putting the webster to the next level and uh you know like i mean we’re so honored to have them and it’s so exciting you know it’s one-stop shop you know i can spend you like the whole day uh you know going from one floor to another remember our first meeting you were like in the meeting and then you’re like okay yes you go to david mallet yeah you took me and you said oh can you fit her in i was like what this is the most brilliant idea ever yeah also i read that your husband aaron so laura is married to the really incredible artist aaron young and um he said that that laura has this vision for what’s going to happen next for the future yeah i love that they said that um you know i am i go i’m very intuitive you know like i go i go with my instincts so much and this has been extremely exciting actually because um so we are officially launching beauty at the webster and you know and some makeup and also like some hair so it’s been quite nice because i’ve tried a lot of different ones it’s very important the products that i use in the morning and the products that i use at night i have also the odyn amazon by clients and he really like lifts me up and you know like be like yes you know like i’m done for my day and it gives me like the energy and you know like um two i don’t know if you’re familiar with tammy fender yes of course i guess so you know like uh she does this lavender uh body oil that is alive yes for the night exactly so i feel you know like a big uh thing was implementing some some masks you know like i used to and never have time for a mask i could be the one basically like in a taxi or uber you know we’re like have the mask i put the makeup on but um you know from you know like testing the led mask from mz skin which is like incredible and it’s part like you feel like you’re going you know to a spa you know and really doing it you know doing it at home so you know like um you know all of this is very exciting and it’s about you know feeling good and you also have your beautiful line that i love lhd is so chic and perfect this is one this is one of them everyone’s going to ask you what that’s like we are going to show you it’s the gemstones oh my god i have to get can i see the bottom of it because i want to order that let me see oh my god it’s so cute i love that so laura what would you say your approach to makeup is is it like the french girl approach or what is your approach to makeup it’s totally the french girl approach like of course is the no foundation look my thing is the eyes eyes yeah yeah i like the the you know karen hood failed agnostic yeah smokey eyes yeah look and with the you know nude nude lips with the mask now actually it’s a good perfect you’re good you’re golden so i think me going to school in paris yeah i feel like that had such an impact on my sort of idea around makeup i always admired the french aesthetic so much and you know it just looks like you said you know you wake up and you you’re just put together and you don’t look like you have any foundation on your skin is just really well and like bone mean and i think you totally mastered the french look and you put it on such another level you took everything all the best from both worlds you know and combine it you know into this you know like unperfected perfection yes tell me out of you know the the products our makeup what would you use for your day today like to make yourself feel good my uh go to you know like it’s your mascara you know like i love you mascara um so i like i said before you know i’m an eye person and i like the smoky eyes and and the packaging and everything the whole experience you know feels so beautiful and precious and puts you in such good mood yeah it looks so cute on you it’s so good i love i love it so i did on my on my cheeks and also on my lips you know i do also uh you know the um you know that this is also like this oh yeah that’s the glow glow you know especially having like a skin that is tan you know like this brings also a little shimmer and it gives you a good frame yes which i need you have the frame already i need to fake it oh my god you know what i have i have this this gives me and and the combination of the what you have the super loaded the tinted highlight yes yes and this is perfect because it just gives you that refinement and it frames your face good nice i know it’s so nice you know what i do i actually do with my finger and then after i put like this on my nose i do that too because it feels more like skin i have this olive color skin and i think that for me having the this blush you know peachy makes it look healthy it opens up your complexion exactly because otherwise it can look you know like more you know it can like sometimes i look green for me my focus is on my eyes and so the number one you know go-to is my mascara and i love your mascara at night you know i can you know smudge it you know like a bit more you know like around around the eyes so that’s the day the the night is like pushing it and have more like of the highlighter i like also too good to do a dramatic look yeah but this i would need a gucci’s help i just wanted to really thank you for
