How To CORRECTLY Layer Your Skincare | Morning Routine Ft. FIT Skincare AD

Hello! Hi! How are you? I’m Robin. Welcome back, or welcome to my YouTube channel. This little world right here is my newly renovated bathroom. I’m so excited and I’m really excited to be showing it you guys, but it’s also Man For Himself.

If you like hair product reviews, grooming, skincare, fragrance, and videos like this one, then chances are you’re going to love it around here. Please do press Subscribe right now. Okay. It is morning.

I have my coffee. I look like someone’s PE teacher. Hi. Always fun and games with me. I also kinda looks like we’re having a bit of a midlife crisis, but we’re going with it. I’ve had my shower, I’ve washed my hair.

It is dry. I’ve also washed my face in the shower. That’s kind of where my skincare starts, but this one I wanted to take you through the correct order to use your skincare, and the different products you might be using.

Now, scale up where you want scale down, where you want, and there might be some other products that you add in and some other steps. Skincare to me is scary. It’s still scary. I do find that it’s, can be a bit pretentious with some people in the skincare sort of world.

And there’s a lot of don’t do that. You shouldn’t be doing this, this ingredient’s bad. Do whatever works for you, honestly, and this will help you out. Now, in this video, I’m working with FIT Skincare.

This is a brand that I, it was in one of my first ever flats, that I was on YouTube for. So that must be like six years ago, five, six years ago, I’ve got one of the FIT Skincare products, and I was using it.

A lot of their products started off with Body. The guy that created the brand, James, was really conscious that he was looking after his body in the gym, but he wasn’t really finding the right sort of skincare products.

So these skincare products are all-natural ingredients. They’re all about technology and they’re all about delivering active ingredients. Now, the first thing that I do is wash my face. Hmm. The skin.

The first thing I do is actually have some coffee. Then I get in the shower. Then I wash my face, but after that, you’re going to move on to toning. Now, toning is something I really only have done, like in the last year, and I might even be going over the top there, maybe six months to nine months.

And it has helped, but toning is about, getting the pH balance of the skin to where it should be. It’s also about priming the skin and just getting it set for any other steps afterwards. Now, toning is where you might, sort of start to tackle any oiliness that you’ve got.

So you might have something with salicylic acid. You might be just sort of getting the skin prepped and set to getting some more moisture into it, but that is the first thing. If you don’t tone, don’t worry too much about it.

As I say, it’s really only when I went into it in the last probably actually six months, to be honest. The next thing you’re going to do is to use a serum. Now, you should really leave your toner, if you have toned, don’t worry if you haven’t, for about five minutes, you don’t want to then get another product, looking at the products here, to then sort of get it all off.

You do want to let it starting to do its thing. Now serums are revolutionary. Serums are great because although a moisturiser will sit on the skin, a serum will get into the skin. What I think of serums about our targeting.

So really thinking about what do you and your skin need, and then finding a serum that does that. Like FIT Skincare. They’re all about serums and ultra serums, from stuff in your hair, to your body, they’ve got a pec cream, pec and ab cream.

I don’t have pecs, I don’t have abs. Maybe if they use that I will do. But they’ve also got loads of skincare products. Now, what I should say on that, I did ask, I’ve got your discount code. MFH20 gets you 20% off these products, so I will link it and you can check it out.

But they have a product here, Stressless. This really is kind of like for ageing skin. So to get rid of fine lines, especially around the eyes. This is going to help reduce and repair any stress and fine lines that you have.

Also, it’s going to help to moisturise and hydrate. But the favourite product that I have of theirs, but I have been using is the Moisturizing Ultra Serum. Now, this is a product that really does it all.

As I say, serums are, when you start to make those little tweaks, you might have a serum for plumping the skin. You might have a vitamin C serum to brighten the skin. You might have a serum to balance the skin.

There’s loads. Oh, there’s also like once, like with turmeric to, sort of take care of any heat off the skin. But this one, the Moisturizing Ultra Serum, it’s going to hydrate. It’s going to repair. It’s going to protect.

And it’s going to refresh the skin. So it’s kind of a bit of a one product does all. I’m not big into one product does all, but if it does do it, then hats off, and this really does. Also with all these products, they use something called their OXY-FIT-10 technology.

I’m always a bit like, what does that really mean? But this is like getting loads of oxygen into the skin. Oxygen in skin helps to repair it. It also can help to boost collagen, which is the elastics or elasticity in the skin.

So really to help keep you looking young and fresh, and all their products from their skin, their body, and their hair have that. This serum… I would say too, if you are a guy like me, hi, who has quite oily skin, you might be aware of using any sort of serums or any extra steps you want to, like, keep clear of it, because you might find that you get shine.

I am so conscious of that. When I used to go out, when I was of legal age, 18, a bit younger I used to have to run off the toilet and dab my skin because it used to always be so greasy. But with this, I don’t find that.

This sort of mattifies, it also smoothens skin. It’s great for those fine lines. I’ve also been told off before, by the way that I apply a product, don’t stretch the skin, push up. Don’t do this, don’t do this.

Don’t do this. Just be careful with your skin, but don’t worry too much, honestly. Look after it. Don’t use anything too stripping. The other week I did sort of use quite a lot of acids and I went over the top.

And actually when I then got back into some of these, it has helped just to take the heat off my skin and help to kind of just reset it. There we go. This also smells amazing. This smells like ginger.

Smells really, really fresh. And with all these sort of serums and products, you really want to be adding something that’s going to do something. Don’t just do a step for the sake of it. And their active ingredients, they’ve got amino acids, there’s botanical extracts, there’s hyaluronic acid, which is going to help to hydrate, there’s vitamins A B E, and there’s also caffeine in there.

And caffeine really is perfect for doctor calls an undereye bags. It’s really going to help to reduce those and any sort of darkness. So caffeine is your friend on that. Now the Moisturizing Ultra Serum really does do a lot.

So if you are just going to kind of do one thing, then this can act as a serum and a moisturiser. I know, especially like you’ve got this in a gym bag, then this can be the kind of perfect does-it-all.

Take it out, a couple of tabs, off you go to work. Or you could move on with those next steps. The next thing would be an eye cream. Again, that’s got caffeine in it, so you don’t need to worry too much, but if you’ve been using something else and it doesn’t have that.

Then you want that eye cream. Eye creams, be careful with them. Some ice creams can sit really heavy. This sort of area of skin is really delicate. And so, with your eye cream again, this one is Eyedrate by FIT.

Just onto your ring finger. That’s the lightest pressure one. And you’re just going to tap, take any excess and pop it on there. Again, toning was kind of new for me. Eye creams, I always kind of was a bit like, really, do I need an eye cream? The older I get, hi, I’m 33, and the older I get, the more I kind of see the use for these.

I like to keep an eye cream in the fridge. There you go. In the old office, I had a little, like a little beer fridge that I kept under my desk, which did have some beer in it, but it also had ice creams.

When I was testing them, I let them cool onto my skin. But I like this one, it is really light. And it’s going to go straight in. Again, guys, you can check out that code MFH20 to 20% off this product and it will all be linked.

After that point, you would then go and use it a moisturiser. If you didn’t already have that moisturiser in the serum, a moisturiser, where a serum will go, kind of penetrating into the skin, a moisturiser is going to lock in everything else that you’ve done with that.

And with your moisturiser, you just want to get it all on to the face. Oh, up onto the neck. This is where I get told off, Robin, you’re stretching your skin. Robin, you’re doing this. Shut up. Joking, love you.

Please do subscribe if you’ve not yet subscribed. Push up around. If you’ve got a beard, you’ve got facial hair. I would say guys. Invest in a beard oil or beard cream, because this can tend to get quite dry in here.

But also think about those serums, think about the moisturisers, and do get into the beard. Don’t just stop here, get right into it. And that is going to help. The last step you’re going to do. So you’ve done toning, say it with me.

You’ve done serums. You’ve done eye cream. You’ve done moisturiser. The final one is an SPF. Now, I’ve spoken about this before, SPFs are not just for you guys that are living in hot, hot heats and sort of burning suns.

They’re for everyone. Hi, I’m from Scotland. I should still be using an SPF and even more so because I have the palest skin. But SPFs are about protecting the skin against UVA, which is really the ageing one.

It’s kind of weird. The cell changes, these are going to change in the skin. UVB is more about the burning of the skin. So you want to look for a broad spectrum SPF. This one here, SPF 50, broad spectrum, no white cast, straight on.

Look for an SPF that’s not going to sit heavy. Look for an SPF that’s not going to be oily. Look for an SPF that’s just going to be really easily absorbed into the skin. And another one I used to avoid, I say, used to, I’ve been on YouTube for eight years since I was, God, test yourself 24, 25, 24.

And my skincare has just changed. If anything, it’s been stripped back. I used to use a lot of powders, so makeup. I used a lot of concealers in order to conceal a lot of the oiliness that I had on my skin, and sort of a lot of the damage or the dryness, especially in here.

But with stripping my skincare back, working out what I need, what I personally need on my skin and just chatting the way through with you guys, it really has helped. So that SPF, you can see there. This is what you’re looking for.

No white cast, no heaviness. And get it down onto the neck, straight across the face, onto your beak, onto your ears. It should really be covering. This hair is a nightmare at the moment. I feel like shaving it off.

“Don’t shave it off, Robin!” “Shave it off, we hate it!” It’s staying for now. But that is that. I would then just generally put it all the way through my hair. Don’t do that. I sometimes wear a hairband, but I didn’t want to go too far with you guys today.

That’d be if I hop into my bedroom, and I would finish off my hair and probably get changed out of looking like a PE teacher. This is just a little bit of lip serum. Ooh, hello. I’m all about those serums.

Oh goodness. He is very excited to see me. Just a bit on there and I’m good to go. But thank you very much for watching. I hope you’ve enjoyed this. And whatever you’re doing with those steps, just see what works for you.

I’m going to tell you that again, I’m not here to preach, but check out those products, especially the Moisturizing Ultra Serum, big fan, and I’m just really liking the way it sits on my skin. Also check out discount code MFH20, 20% off.
