Empties | Will I Repurchase? | Makeup, Skincare, Candles
hello friends how’s it going it’s me betty jean today we are going to go through my garbage and i will talk about the products that i’ve used up what i might repurchase what i never want to see again all that good stuff i do these videos probably every four months or so i want to say give or take a month or two just kind of when my bag here gets so overflowing i like to just kind of do these they’re relaxing they’re chill it’s interesting to see what i go through what i’ve continued to go through multiple times these aren’t my most popular videos but those of you who watch them seem to enjoy them as well just to really get like a very good solid completely used up review of certain products i also decided about a month ago i would start including candles as well because i feel like i go through candles quite often and i figured i would just kind of break down my favorite candles and kind of what i’m going through i don’t know i just thought it would be a fun little addition so i’ll probably save those for the end of the video but i do have candles in here as well we have mostly makeup and skincare a little bit of hair care we have a plethora of things and i’m excited to talk about them with you really quick before we get started i did film this look of course it’s part of my two looks one palette with the lunar lavender palette from collidos and it should be up on my channel by the time this video goes up my plugs are from here no evil jewelry on etsy and i believe this top is from a forever 21 but i got it a very very very long time ago i would be shocked if it’s still available but yeah let’s just hop in in chats about my trash we’re not gonna go in any particular order because this bag is in no particular order i’m just gonna start grabbing things and we will talk about them first is the milk makeup vegan milk cleanser i really really like this it feels very cleansing on my skin it’s not the best makeup remover i use this as like my second step in my cleansing routine i do a double cleanse where i remove the makeup and then cleanse my skin this works great as a cleanser it feels very nice and nourishing it doesn’t make my skin feel stripped love this one clearly i went through the whole thing i do already have another one milk makeup was really kind and reached out probably two months ago or so maybe even three months and asked if i needed any refills and i mentioned that i was getting really low on this so they sent me another one and i’m very thankful because i love this cleanser it might be my favorite cleanser in my whole collection i do cycle through a few different ones but that’s my favorite for sure next is the nyx high glass finishing powder i’ve been using this like a madman and it’s it’s done for there’s like a little bit around the edges that i might use for this next look that i film but this is pretty much done so i’ve loved this product this year it’s been so lovely i did order another one online from ulta but it arrived completely shattered so i went in person to my local ulta to exchange it for another one they didn’t have it in stock so i just got a refund and i’ll just have to wait until it comes back in stock in real life because i don’t think this will ever arrive to me via mail not broken so eventually i will replace this because i love this setting powder it’s very luminous and it just makes my skin look really nice and i don’t want a loose powder all over my face anymore that’s just not my vibe i like to use this on kind of the outer perimeters such a lovely luminous powder i have these makeup melting cleansing cloths from pixie i got these in a pr package maybe two or three months ago i’m not quite sure i personally don’t use makeup remover wipes on my face anymore however i did use these for swatches on my arm and things like that and they worked fine not something i’m rushing out to purchase i don’t really buy makeup wipes anymore the only time i ever have or use these is if it like comes to me in pr but not really something i buy anymore i’m trying to be more eco-conscious and just by not using makeup remover wipes helps with that i have lashes to talk about let’s just get through them because i have a good pile of lashes in front of me and goodness i’ve gone through some lashes over these months i have five old pairs of ester co lashes estico is midas cosmetics sister brand they have a lash subscription service and i think you can buy lashes just on their own as well but they also have a lash subscription service they send it to me every month and i get three pairs a month so i just constantly have plenty of lashes i think they have a natural and a dramatic box of course i do the dramatic one and i really like their subscription box sometimes there’s lashes that aren’t completely my speed but for the most part i’m very happy with them i don’t have a lot of the physical lashes anymore because it’ll get to the point where they completely break and i don’t put them in the box before i put the box in my empties but i had the style ambitious i think i really liked these pop rocks was one of my absolute favorites all of these are just very big and fluttery and dramatic if you’re super curious about specific ones you could just scroll back on my instagram i tag everything but a lot of these you wouldn’t be able to buy on their own anyway so i’m not too stressed about it no dough are really pretty you can kind of see them they’re just very big and fluttery bad were one of my favorites because they’re like very skinny but also just very long and wispy i really liked those and what’s your damage was also a favorite i quite enjoyed all of these esta co is a brand that i’ll probably just keep using their lashes i don’t see myself not using estaco lashes as long as they exist so i’m very pleased with these it’s a cool brand to have it’s also nice just to have that subscription of them being sent to me so i always have like lashes on deck to use i have two pairs from alter ego this style was posh and this was celeb i only just uh threw the celeb one in this bag recently they’re small but still kind of wispy and like tapered out at the edges they’re not quite as large as i would prefer but they were still cute posh are very tiny they’re very much like my natural lashes but better not really a lash i personally go for very often but i’m just trying to get use out of these slowly so once in a while i pop on a more natural esque lash and you guys seem to prefer that once in a while so i just tried to do that to get use out of them next from motd cosmetics we have the style pose these again were very much just like teeny tiny my natural lashes but better again not completely my style they were cute i just i prefer a bigger lash so i don’t think i would repurchase any of those three i just talked about and last we have the style alter ego from bold face makeup i will 100 get these again i love makeups lashes so much this particular style they were so incredibly long and wispy they like touched my eyebrows they were so pretty i love boldface makeups lashes so much thrill seeker is one of my all-time favorite pairs it’s just such a cool lash brand i love their lashes if you’re into really big fluffy dramatic lashes those are the ones to go to i only use synthetic lashes no minx here on my channel i think they do a great job okay i think we’re away from lashes let’s just move on to some more makeup this was my colourpop pretty fresh setting mist i really really really like the setting spray there is like a spit left in here but it’s at the point where it won’t really come out of the bottle anymore because this little straw doesn’t reach down like all the way to the bottom but i really enjoyed this i actually have another one they sent me another one in pr maybe a few months ago haven’t busted into it just yet but i definitely will because i really really like the setting spray i don’t use setting spray in the sense that i think it makes my makeup last longer because i don’t necessarily believe in that i think your primer has more to do with that than anything but i do like the setting mist because it just helps all of my makeup melt into my skin and help it look less powdery and just really glowy that’s what i care about more than anything next we have my milk makeup blur and set setting powder my all-time favorite setting powder i know i haven’t been using it recently i’ve been using the kvd vegan beauty one it was just i was trying something new testing it out and then i just haven’t switched them back out from my drawer yet i do actually already have another one this is another one milk makeup replenished for me so i’m very thankful i have another one in my drawer had they not replenished it though i 1000 would have purchased another one it’s such a good setting powder i don’t feel like it’s too cakey or too heavy it’s not too mattifying i just it’s a perfect setting powder i actually want to bust it out again soon i miss using it i haven’t used it in like a month it’s my absolute favorite though i think i got it for the first time a year ago and it’s just so unbelievably good i have a couple skin care items here next we have the good molecules niacinamide brightening toner i actually forgot i use this so i guess maybe it wasn’t the most memorable product but i thought it was fine it was a nice toner i used toner after cleansing before my serums this one seemed to do a nice job my skin didn’t react badly from it i felt like it just i don’t know it was a nice step after cleansing however i have other toners that i like i think a little bit more my pixi glow tonic will be forever my favorite toner and i actually have a couple others that i’m rotating with that one i wouldn’t be opposed to having this one again but i’m not in a rush to repurchase it if for some reason i ran out of all of my toners and i wanted two new ones i would get the pixi glow tonic in this one again for sure because it was a fine just nice daily toner it wasn’t like too harsh or anything like that i felt like it was fine next i have two serums from pixi this is the hydrating milky serum and this is the vitamin c serum i did enjoy both of these however i’m not like a rush to repurchase them necessarily if i had to repurchase one of them it would probably be the milky one because i really liked how nourishing it felt but i have a lot of serums right now i’m kind of rotating around and trying to get use out of so i’m not in a rush to repurchase these anytime soon don’t know if i ever actually will i didn’t have a problem with them my skin seemed to like them just fine but i’m not in like a dire need to have them again i wouldn’t consider either of these like major favorites out of all of my serums so even though they weren’t bad they just didn’t blow me away so much that i feel rushed to get more if that makes sense i just have two loose lashes just chilling in here i’m pretty sure these were alter ego from bold face makeup like they were freaking huge i love them so funny that i just have lashes chilling in there betty jean what were you thinking why would you ever think you would know what that is from going back to setting powder i have this mini hourglass veil uh setting powder this must have been my sephora birthday gift from july like sephora sends you a free birthday gift that you get to choose from and i picked the hourglass one i think it was a minivale primer which i need to finish using up and then the little setting powder this one was fine i would never in a million years buy the full one because it’s expensive and it just didn’t blow me away but i was content using the small one it’s just not my favorite though the milk makeup one beats all and the kbd vegan beauty one i like more than that one as well another skin care product this is my elf illuminating eye cream if you would have asked me a month ago i would have said 100 yes once i’m out of the eye cream that i’m working on right now i would 1000 repurchase it however they did just send me the cbd eye cream elf did and i like that one far more than this one this one is still nice but i love this new one so much it feels very cooling and i just like the gel kind of consistency to it so now that i have that one i just i don’t know if i’ll ever repurchase this one again and i really did like it but that one just kind of took cake and now that there’s one that i like more in the same brand i just don’t have a reason to buy that one again plus i like the fact that the new one i don’t have to dip my finger into something it has like a squeeze tube so it’s more hygienic i have a couple sponges here i have one of the kaleidos sponges and one of the juno and co microfiber sponges i can’t see myself necessarily buying another colitis one just because i do prefer a microfiber sponge but this was a fine sponge i did the job just fine i have plenty of microfiber sponges from juno and co they were super kind and sent me like five or six of them now and i just i’ll be working through them for a while i feel like the microfiber ones last longer they’re a lot easier to clean in my opinion than the typical sponges and i’m just a microfiber sponge person i don’t think i’ll ever quit we have a couple complexion products here this is the it cosmetics illuminating cc cream this is in the shade fair i really like this for the longest time however it’s just not my favorite thing anymore i have other light to medium coverage things that i prefer more than this like i like the tinted moisturizer from colourpop i like that cc cream that came out from bite beauty so so much i just have other things i prefer than this this one i don’t hate by any means i loved it for a very long time this might be my second one i’ve ever purchased but i’ve just found other things i like better at this point and next is the milk makeup flex concealer i did really enjoy this concealer it lasted me a really long time however i just have so many affordable concealers that i love more than this one that i can’t see myself rushing out to get this one i wouldn’t be opposed to having it again but when i have things like my elf one color pop makeup revolution juvia’s place there’s so many concealers that are super cheap that i adore i just don’t have a reason to spend like 20 something dollars on a concealer so there’s that it was fine but i don’t need another one i have two lash glues that i went through i actually currently just purchased two new ones and they just arrived yesterday so i’ll be set on last school for a while but i did go through two lash glues i have loved the house of lashes lash glue for so many years now it’s my number one favorite i have never had an issue with it it’s just perfect i’ve probably gone through 20 of them in my life now let’s talk fake freckles i went through a lottie london freckle tint i do prefer the one from freck and kimchi chic beauty a little bit more than this but i do still like the lottie london one and it’s super super affordable it’s like six dollars or something at ulta i wouldn’t be opposed to purchasing another one i just one don’t really need another freckle product right now and two i it hasn’t been in stock it’s like constantly out of stock so i don’t know when i’ll ever purchase that again but i’m sure i will get it again at some point and we have the two freckle pens from lime crime this is the sun kissed one that came out like last summer they don’t have this particular one anymore i did like it a lot i honestly low-key wish that this is the one that they brought back and not the two new shades the shades don’t differ that that much i do have a whole freckle comparison video on my channel but i just like the sun kissed one the best but i can’t have that one again so it’s fine and then i also went through the amber one i did really like this one i’m currently using coco right now those are the two new shades they came out with if i were to repurchase one of the freckle pens it would probably be the amber one but they look fairly similar on the skin anyways it doesn’t really matter i’m sure i will repurchase one of those again at some point because i can’t live without my fake freckles and i kind of like having the combination of a pen and a tint on my skin very extra for a makeup step most people don’t care about but it means a lot to me next i went through a glossier brown boy brow i really like this it’s a fiber brow gel i like to do this as my first step with my brows just to kind of lightly fill them in and kind of get a tint going on and kind of brush them upwards i did already purchase another one it’s my favorite tinted brow gel i found so far that like has those fibers in it i will probably continue to repurchase it long term i’m interested in trying the lime crime one but i also don’t want to really stray away from what’s working so who knows but i did buy another one speaking of brows i did go through a full-size nyx control freak and a small milk clear brow gel just two clear brow gels i actually have quite a few of these clear ones from milk makeup i think i have one more mini and one full size so i’m currently working on one of those right now they like to send clear brow gel in with their pr packages so it’s just constantly like ongoing for me so i’ll be set with this one for a while i do think i like this one a little bit more than the next one however if i ran out of all of my clear brow gels i’m more likely to repurchase the next one just because it works fine and it’s cheaper but for the meantime i’m not repurchasing any of these right now because i have probably plenty to last me another six to seven or even eight or nine months so we will just have to wait and see also from milk makeup i went through a milk kush mascara this is also another thing milk makeup loves to send in their pr packages i probably have two backups of it right now i believe i’m using one currently and i’ll have another for after that it is one of my favorite mascaras it’s not something i’m necessarily in a rush to repurchase but i have the privilege of not really needing to purchase mascara at the moment because i seem to always get one in pr whether it’s from them or pixie or kvd vegan beauty i just i always have mascara on deck thank goodness but i would potentially repurchase that one but at the same time i might just repurchase one from pixie or colourpop or somewhere more affordable i’m one of those people that has the ugliest lashes they’re very straight they don’t hold a curl pretty much no mascara makes them look good the only things i look for in a mascara are if they’re black and if it doesn’t transfer that does check those boxes but i’m sure i could find a cheaper alternative that also checks those boxes so i’m not like a huge rush to repurchase that one necessarily that’s a very roundabout way of saying i’m not buying it right now but i still like it a lot and last for makeup i went through two colourpop eye pencils can you believe it i feel like i’m gonna get to the point where i run out of all of my eye pencils at the same time because i use them so much i went through punch which is a yellow and electric daisy which is a neon green unfortunately electric daisy is no longer available so i don’t have to worry about repurchasing it because it doesn’t exist however i do want to repurchase punch next time i make an order from colourpop who knows when that will be but i really do like that yellow and the only other yellows i have now are like neon ones and i really like that that’s just like a true mid-toned yellow so i do want that again at some point and yeah let’s talk about candles now i have this one from the dw home brand that i got at a marshalls i believe this was in the scent apple pumpkin oh and it’s so good this was such a good scent this smelled so good burning in the house i’m really liking this dw home brand i found them at like a home goods this year they’re cruelty free candle brands and i’m happy about discovering another one i was really excited about their false sense we’ve gone through even more of these um dw home candles but i didn’t decide until this one that i wanted to save my candles for this video so maybe next time i’ll have more to talk about if you’re interested in continuing to see candles in this video another candle that i purchased from a home goods is from the sensational brand they were another brand that i looked up were also cruelty free this is just pumpkin spice but it was ginormous three wig candle this one’s really nice it’s just such a good pumpkin spice scent it’s not quite as spicy as i necessarily want with a pumpkin spice this does smell a little more like dessert pumpkin spice which i’m also okay with i’m the kind of person that’s okay if my home smells like a bakery but this one was nice i don’t know how i feel about this brand necessarily i think i like my dw home and evil queen which i’ll talk about in a second candles a little bit more but yeah i i just i like them i don’t know i have i’ve had a good time with them i’ve gone through three candles from the evil queen candle companies fall collection i have the ghost one the bat one and the autumn knights one the notes in the autumn knights one is cinnamon apple baked pie and hashtag fall forever it has that spice to it but also just appley and leaves very lovely this is such a good candle for like when the windows are down and it’s chilly and the breeze is going ah such a good candle i love evil queen’s candle so much i’m like so anxiously awaiting to see what the holiday collection is going to be because it’s just going to be a christmas dream that that one is smoky woods cashmere and darkness very nice just a very cozy kind of nighttime scent it doesn’t scream fall necessarily but it does scream just like spooky outdoors and it’s really nice and the ghost one is woods and khloe oh and again it just it smells like an autumn forest it’s so just cozy again it’s not very pumpkiny or anything like that but it just smells like cool weather in the outdoors i’ve had this one burning in my background for a while i have another one back here currently when i have back there currently is big witch energy it’s really nice i’ll probably talk about those in the next empties if you guys want to see candles some more but yeah this was all my garbage i hope you enjoyed this video i really like just kind of going through these because i forget about a lot of these by the time this video rolls around so it’s fun to just kind of regroup and chat about them let me know if you’re sick of seeing lashes in this
