American Vs. South Korean Makeup And Skincare Routines
(upbeat music)
– Hey guys. I’m Carolina.
I’m 21 years old and I live
in Los Angeles California.
– My name is Darcie. I am 19 years old
and I live in Seoul Korea.
And I have my own channel too.
– I’m gonna be showing you, my
skin care and makeup routine.
– Why don’t we get started. (clicking)
(upbeat music)
– I am ready to get ready.
So the first thing I use is this,
“purifying foaming cleanser.”
Acne is not one of my main concerns,
but dry skin and like red
patches and dry patches.
I use “fresh rose floral toner.”
(spray sizzles out)
It’s funny ’cause like
when I was in high school,
I never really used to
care to how my skin.
I never washed my face
something until like I was 18.
Remember I had like a zit like right here
and I was like, “What is this?”
And my mum was like, “You
need to wash your face.”
And I was like,
okay.
– I quickly use this
“hyaluronic hydration gel.”
(speaking foreign language)
It’s weird just like that
I feel my skin relaxing,
but I really do.
I put some ChapStick on.
(soft music)
And then, I always like to use sunscreen,
even if I know am staying inside.
That’s a quick, “skin
care routine” for me.
(upbeat music)
– And now, I shall be doing,
a simple makeup routine.
There’s really only
like three steps to it.
I don’t go anywhere without eyeliner.
I’m obsessed with Ariana Grande,
so I always do a wing in her honor.
(soft music)
I completely messed up this eye.
I’m very self conscious on my under eyes,
so I use not one, but two concealers.
(fast forwarding squeak)
(soft music)
I haven’t cleaned my brushes in a while,
so I’m gonna be using my
fingers if that’s okay.
(soft music)
And there.
I’ve got this budget ring mascara because,
I don’t know, I’m just stood.
Giving a little lift right now.
When I have to filming videos at home.
And there’s one eye..
But don’t worry, there will be more coats
because I am crazy.
(soft music)
Seriously?
Hm! Ta-da!
So, you’re wondering,
Carolina, you did your makeup
and you did a great skin care routine.
What are you gonna do now?
Well, funny you should ask. (chuckles)
‘Cause, I’m filming videos today.
All day.
(upbeat music)
(bell chimes)
(soft music)
– So, a first thing I do
to take my makeup off,
cleansing towelettes.
(soft music)
I put a lot of mascara on.
I’m back to my purifying foam cleanser.
(spray sizzles out)
Tuuh!
The second plus thing is
putting my eye cream on.
Pretty sure to end it with
a cooling gel just because,
I just want my
(chuckling drowns out speaker)
to be on forever.
See you ‘morrow morning.
– Face lift kind of thing.
(fast forwarding whoosh)
(soft music)
(upbeat music)
So today we are doing a more like,
a more glammed up, everyday look.
The first thing I like to do start it off,
an eye lash curler.
(soft music)
I go ahead and use this,
the ordinary primer.
This is one of the things I
don’t like to put a lot on.
And you know what I mean.
Can’t go either without a wing.
(soft music)
Lucky finish. I’ll take it.
“CC cream”.
I feel like my skin has
a pretty nice even tone
so, I don’t really put that much.
Now we’re gonna go onto that under eyes.
(fast forwarding squeak)
(soft music)
Put a little right here.
Maybe even put a little there.
All right.
If I put too much, we’ll find out.
(brush tapping on mirror)
– What!
(soft music)
(upbeat music)
(upbeat music)
– I think American makeup is very much,
it’s a lot heavier and it’s
a lot darker, it’s a lot–
it’s very much Kardashian inspired.
(fast forwarding squeak)
Wow! That kinda like seeps in.
I go straight for my mascara.
(upbeat music)
I think I make dumb faces when
I am putting makeup on but
(brush tapping)
(upbeat music)
And set.
I wanna do just a little bit of contour.
I’m not gonna go all crazy.
There go underneath, a little bit.
And then sometimes I just
like to go like this.
Next, I’m gonna go on with
this, “touch hardy blush”.
Now like, what more could she possibly do?
We have to go back.
We just have– We have
to go back with this.
You know what I mean.
Oh no hm hm.
(upbeat music) Think
that’s the best we can do.
We should also do lips
though. I do love a good lip.
It’s a wrap. So.
(upbeat music)
(upbeat music)
– None of it going on
for me today honestly.
I did buy a new book so
I’m probably gonna try
maybe finish it today, who knows.
(fast forwarding whoosh)
(wind whooshing)
(upbeat music)
(upbeat music)
(upbeat music)
(upbeat music)
– I’ll always empty their makeup off
with my makeup remover, plain last one.
Hopefully, I have another one
’cause getting stuff right now
is a bit tricky with what’s going on.
My skin has not have this much
face makeup on in a while.
But it’s not really a lot.
(fast forwarding squeak)
(water gushing from tap)
Film the alp on the face.
(soft music)
I gonna be doing a mask sample that I got.
It’s a bunch of little mini masks.
So I’m currently doing the
purifying mud mask one.
(soft music)
I’ll be back in 10 minutes to wash it off.
(chuckles)
(upbeat music)
(soft music)
– I’m ready to shake this of
cause I can’t move my mouth.
(soft music)
(water gushing)
Masks are so hard to get off.
(spray sizzles out)
Just gonna go ahead and take
my corrective vacuum from Ubons.
I’m gonna go ahead and
continue on with this gel,
hydration gel.
Finish it off with my favorite
(lid popping) eye bomb,
that’s elastic.
And yeah. I am all set.
(soft music)
